A Better Way

Not exactly news, but yet another person had trouble canceling his AOL account. He, however, recorded it. Our technique was simpler: we changed banks, so AOL could no longer take money from our account. Months later, after several "last warning" snail mails, they cancelled the account.

When I was consulting for AOL they gave me an account. I never used it except in the context of the project I was working on for them.

When the project ended, they started billing me for it. A little call from my lawyer (a personal friend) and they quietly cancelled the account.
