Bunnies, and Eggs, and Easter, Oh My!

So, in St. Paul someone's apparently worried that an Easter display at City Hall may offend non-Christians.

Maybe we should ask Jeff if he finds bunnies and eggs offensive to his Pagan beliefs.

I am all about bunnies and eggs and Spring fertility rituals. But the truth is, when they say "non-Christians", they almost always mean either "atheists" or "Muslims". No one's worried about offending Jews, and none of the other religions tend to be militant about things like this.

So does the name "Saint Paul" offend them?

Maybe we should all be more - er, passionate - about spring fertility rituals.....

Nemo, three of our four children were born between 1/10 and 2/16. You do the math.

I think this is a case of the "non-Christians" meaning atheists.

Now that I'm thinking of it, why is it that atheists (in America) only seem to be offended by Christianity and not other religions?

Athiests are so insecure in their beliefs that they fear that exposure to religious symbolism may lure them in.
