I'm not familiar with the British public education system, but one can sympathize with the Muslims. Britain remains officially Anglican, with legally binding (if rather targeted) discriminations against Catholics. If Anglicans have a privileged position against Catholics, why can't Muslims?

Further, I doubt Britain has a voucher system. That the Muslims have to pay for one school-ideological system they disagree with and don't attend (Anglican-secularist education), and then pay for another system they disagree with and do attend (catholic education), why is there no established school just for them?

That was sort of my point: if there are so many Muslims in that area, why not establish a Muslim school rather than attempting to change the religious orientation of the existing school (which is presumably run by the Catholic Church)?
