I would note that I am not a social liberal, but rather a social conservative. However, I believe that government's role on social issues should tend to be more libertarian than not, generating this score. But I would trend libertarian/conservative more than libertarian/liberal. Otherwise, I am satisfied with being a wart on Ted Nugent's left cheek.

I come in at 80/80 and libertarian. It's a crude tool, at best, but it's interesting that it does at least seem to get into the right ballpark.

And Brian, you are not a social conservative. You are personally conservative in your social behavior, and seem to believe that other people should be, too, but are not willing to mandate or restrict social behavior based on your beliefs. That's a liberal behavior. Sadly, the "liberals" - "progressives" doesn't work either - in our society have very illiberal social beliefs.

I ended up as a Libertarian in the Centrist ring. The test is somewhat bogus. Things like "It bothers me that companies move jobs overseas" - well, it bothers me, but macro-economics is going to make it happen from time-to-time, and I don't necessarily make political decisions based on it.
