Pottering Theories
A few theories I've had about what Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was doing below the surface, and many I hadn't really considered very deeply, are recounted here. (Major spoilers there!)
One theory I've had for a while, that for me was "confirmed" by the DA, is that the book will end with Harry being offered the position of Professor at Hogwarts, teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts - and whom better? This didn't come out in the site I linked, so I figured I'd throw it out for consideration.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!
(You've been warned...)
Ok, that link is really intriguing. I must say, I believed Snape's betrayal. I never pieced together the bits that would explain Snape killing Dumbledore, on Dumbledore's orders. The only thing that stuck out to me was that it was completely out of character for Dumbledore to plead for his life. I believed however, that Dumbledore was pleading for Snape's benefit, to save him from himself, just as he was trying to protect Malfoy. It fits perfectly, though. My only hesitation is, would Dumbledore ask Snape to perform Avada Kedavra? It's an unforgivable curse. But it makes sense for book seven. Snape can be redeemed, with Dumbledore having been right about him all along.
