Weekly Update
This week, folks, we chucked our medieval history for Civil War history. We watched Gettysburg, read a few books, and then hopped in the car and drove out to the battlefield. We followed that up with a day at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and then a day at Mt. Vernon.
Much more fun than the normal school week :-)

I hate that we bypassed Gettysburg last year. I'm jealous. Sounds like a lot of fun :)

Oh, I just love it!
Now I don't feel so bad chucking Medieval History for WWII because the series started last week and N. asked so many questions.
But we have not visited any WWII battlefields yet. We do have two Civil War Battlefields nearby, though, believe it or not...hmmm. Now there's an idea!
Anyway, it sounds like such fun!
