TV Causes Autism?
I haven't checked this study out, but it's an interesting idea. Television viewing causes autism.

I actually just went to a training on autism last Friday as I currently have 2 autistic children in my class. Not sure what to think of the research here because it does nothing to explain why boys are 4 times as likely to be autistic. One of the things the trainer brought up is that until the 80s, many children now classified as autistic were being diagnosed just as MR. It's amazing that with all the research being done on autism that something more definitve has not been found. I hope they find something soon.

As this study gets out into the mainstream media, I can only imagine the huge backlash of defensive parents feeling they have been accused of causing their children's problem.
And I imagine the insurance companies would love to be able to deny benefits if it was self-inflicted.
