How To Be Moral
At a den meeting this week, the leader asked the boys what it means to be "morally straight."
My 10 year old's response: "It means not running around being like Hitler."
There you have it, folks. Moral = not Hitler.

I have a den of second year Webelos and I get a lot of the same.
When we had to make posters about good citizen ship, on kid had just told the den a story about mooning, so all o fht posteres included something about a good citizen doesn't show his butt.
And of course, it isn't as funny to sho someone iwth good behavior. It's more funny to try to draw bad behavior, then put a red circle/slash NO marking over it.
My day that will live in infamy is when we tried to discuss rights and duties. One kid yelled out "Doody means poop!" for the rest of the meeting.
Two week later, when he had to go over the same material, as soon as he started, all of the other scout were telling him to shut up and let Miss Heidi finish the lesson this time.
