But where do they keep the Hobbits?
This sign is on Hwy. 377 in Keller, TX. It never looked quite to me the way they indended it ...

Heh heh. There's a town in Texas named Ponder that Ernie and I used to drive through on a regular basis. Every time we drove past the "Ponder 1 Mile" sign, we'd have to put on our serious thinking expressions and say, "Hmmm..."

I'm familiar with that sign ;-) We do goofy stuff like that on all our road trips.
There are some good signs in Midlothian, TX that I never got pictures of. An office supply store features a sign that says "Come on in and be surprised!" Hmmm ... really, that could mean *so* many things ...

"Look Polish"?
Or maybe it's "Look! Polish!"

Ha - that's cute. There's so much to discover in this grand state! If we ever venture out of central TX, that is... I think it's time to start planning a road-trip tour.

Back 25 years ago when Elfquest was new, the Pinis used to publish collections of those signs.
