That was a great article. :) Our experiences with neoclassical were about the same-- trying to simplify but not entirely sure of what we could get rid of and still legitimately call ourselves "classical." It's funny, but our school days really don't look much different now than they did before; we mainly just do more Latin, and we do CW instead of R&S. But I'm a much happier homeschooling mama now that I don't feel guilty about not making time to outline a freakin' history encyclopedia. :P
