Better News
Aidan's sonogram was fine. They found no problems with his kidneys. Which is great! On the other hand, it means that I don't think they have any idea why he's suddenly running fevers and vomiting consistently every evening. Just in the evenings. And he complains of back pain. He's fine during the daytime. When I had those symptoms, I had a kidney infection.
Hopefully we'll know more on Monday. But at least his kidneys are fine.

When I was reading up on this illness, it mentioned those symptoms, including arthritis (maybe the back pain?). It can, in serious cases, lead to kidney problems, but most times it doesn't. Who knows why it's only happening at night though.

Poor boy (and poor parents). I'm glad they found no serious kidney problems. I hope he feels better soon.

Oh, Steph, I think not knowing what's wrong (and therefore, how to make it all better) ranks right up there among the most frustrating things a parent deals with. I'm glad the sono showed his kidneys are clear, and sure do hope you get some answers this coming week. {{hugs}}

Great news about the sonogram and his kidneys, but I sympathize about the rest. Dy is right about the frustration about not knowing and not being able to help. Hope you all find some comfort soon.
