Woo-hoo!!

I am thrilled, pleased, proud to announce that tonight my 5 year old marched up to the whiteboard and wrote CAT.

Yes, on purpose.

I love it when that happens.

Congratulations, to both of you : )

My 5yo has been regularly drawing pictures for my husband and me, and has been festooning with them three-letter words (MOM, DAD, COW). I think he's decided to stick with what he knows, after the pre-Christmas run-up constantly asking me how to spell "screwdriver" and "medium blue quad" (Santa brought the former, but not the latter).

Oh, I do love it when that happens! It more than makes up for the days when they look at the word "Mom" and just start guessing, "Poop? Bird?" *groan*

WTG, Big Boy!!

Way to go! That is so neat when it happens. And it's great that you're there to see it.
