Child: Oh, it's Martin Luther King's birthday.
Me: That's right. Do you know who that is?
Child: Yes.
Me: Who was he?
Child: He's the guy who started Protestantism.
(Did I mention that I prefer teaching ancient and medieval history to modern?)
