This is what I want for Christmas, or my birthday. I understand you can get it for less at Sam's. I understand that at Sam's, it also includes the most recent Hornblower movies.
And this is my favorite place in New Orleans. I hope it's okay. I want to go back there someday. I wanted to have my wedding reception there (after a ceremony here), but a New Orleans wedding wasn't really practical at the time.

Oh, I LOVE Houmas House. I think of it as much closer to Baton Rouge (where I grew up) than New Orleans. The amazing staircase, the porch gallery, the collection of armoires, the library and the marvelous chair/ladder. Love it. Looks like they've spiffed things up a LOT and gotten a lot more into entertaining - the restaurant is new since I've last been there.

Ok, now I want that collection too!
And would Houmas House have so many armoires that they wouldn't miss one...one that might have to come live up here? :)
