Whew
The older kids have begged for a break today.
What a weekend we had! We visited the new Texas Dinosaur exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History; we saw Al Bean; and we met, for the first time, friends I've known online for eight years. Diane and her family are wonderful. We had a party, and we had a blast! There were six adults and 12 kids at my house, and no one left until 2 am. You couldn't walk in the living room without risking injury to a sleeping child. The kids all got along well.
I wish we could do it again, but they live too far away. Sniff.
Yesterday was art class day, which takes up the whole day.
So today my kids are tired. They asked if we could stay home today, and do nothing.
They're already bored. Silly children. They've spent the past three days with other kids, and have to re-orient themselves to playing "alone."

Oh, the ENVY!!! I tried to talk Zorak into seeing if we could find your house when we came through. He looked at me and said, "We have been on the road for two days. We stopped, at a park, outside, in this heat. I think you're fine." *sigh*
I'm glad you enjoyed a do-nothing day, and had such a lovely weekend! How wonderful!

I am utterly and completely jealous of ANYONE who gets to hang out with you. Will you EVER be coming near me???
*sigh*

Speaking as a fellow freakishly overbusy and imminently social homeschooler, whew, hope you enjoyed a day off. Hope you didn't spend it fretting about all of the stuff you have to do around the house while kids claim to be bored nearby (it happens here). I hope you read a good book in a hammock.

Well, if this isn't too late....you ARE a totally cool person (all of the people there were in fact) to have gotten to meet in real life!
Was it 2am? I was too drunk to read a clock! LOL!
Did I tell you that I put Melody to sleep on the floor until I sobered up some? ugh!
