My first baby is 9. Sniff.
He's our teacher child. He taught us how to be good parents. He taught us what our priorities are. He taught us that just because most people do things in a certain way, that doesn't mean it's the best way, or the right way.
Thank goodness.
The birth of every child changes your life, but his birth led me to midwifery, alternative medicine, attachment parenting, homeschooling, and a way of life that leads me to question everything.
I keep thinking I should feel sad that he's 9 already. I don't, though. He's such a cool kid, and I can't wait to see how he's going to grow.
My baby baby turning 3, though ... that will hit hard, I'm sure. And that happens in two weeks. Yikes.

WOW! 9. The last of the one digit years!
Happy, happy birthday!
I think when you're enjoying the journey with your child, it's a great adventure (and learning experience) at every stage. The milestones don't seem to looming and sad b/c you've come to them together, as a family.
Enjoy those wonderful boys.
