Over my dead body!

I won't post the picture because it's far too close to an R rating. Instead I'll link you to Michelle Malkin (thanks for the tip, Mungo).

I don't have a daughter to forbid to wear these. I could forbid my sons to wear these, but the effect isn't quite the same. I certainly don't want my sons dating girls who are allowed to wear these ...er ... prom dresses. Some parents y'all are.

It was a hoax by the NYPost: http://www.cobranchi.com/archives/004494.html

We have trouble getting Michelle to wear anything that exposes her belly button (which is fine except that it's a great place to tickle). I just hope she keeps that attitude for another - oh - 20 years or so.

Oh, good! I'm glad it was a hoax! Thank goodness!

It may have been a hoax, but I read on Wizbang that the dress designer has seen orders go up dramatically once the dress was reversed.

PHEW! Thank goodness that was a hoax! YIKES! Truly, who could put that by designers nowadays. I was ROTFLOL at the very last comment of that article.

Um, ya know, it's funny- when I was growing up, I had two nieces who were just a year younger than I. I always felt cheated b/c they got to wear the "cool" stuff (much like that) and were "sooo beautiful". I felt ugly and uncool. Now we look back at pictures and think, "OMG! These girls were just babies! They look like hookers! WHAT were their parents THINKING!?!?!?" And I look back and realize I so thoroughly enjoyed my childhood b/c it didn't have to end abruptly in many ways. Wow, Thanks Mom & Dad!
