But hey - if Rainer's promotion goes through I told him that the one thing I wanted was to be able to buy two books a year *just for me*. It's a selfish frivolity, I know, but we trophy wives need tokens of affection from our sugar daddies.

I've bought many books this year that I've been wanting for a long time. Now they just sit on my shelf gathering dust. sigh....At least I'm still reading something, right?

Diane, if it makes you feel any better the other thing I'm reading is "The Complete Book of Amber." That was my birthday present :) Amber was my ... obsession ... for a good part of my teenage life. And I have a HUGE book of Arthur C. Clarke short stories lined up after that.
