Which it's funny - Larry King interviews Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin on their campain for the 2004 presidential election.
And, The Princess Bride and LOTR collide in Is This a Kissing Book? Be sure to read through the comments, as amongst all the babble are some additional ideas.
Posted by Steph at July 25, 2004 11:31 PMsome additional quotes for you:
(upon Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli's first meeting with Gandalf the White)
Gandalf: Why didn't you wait for me?
Aragorn: Well... you were dead.
Gandalf: Death cannot stop true wizards. All it can do is delay them for a while.
(in Rohan, Uruk-hai fleeing with Merry and Pippin)
Orc: You are sure nobody's follow' us?
Orc 2: As I told you, it would be absolutely, totally, and in all other ways inconceivable. Out of curiosity, why do you ask?
Orc: No reason. It's only... I just happened to look behind us and something is there.
(Frodo awakes after the triumph at Mt. Doom)
Gandalf: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have four fingers on your left hand?
Frodo: Do you always begin conversations this way?
That's way too fun, especially since I just watched "The Princess Bride" all the way through (for the first time in a long time) two nights ago. Something I failed to notice before I bought TPB on DVD, Mark Knopfler did the music. That was a cool surprise.
