I think y'all will like this one better. It's ... ah ... based on a true story.
Snowflakes from the 18th Floor
Like little paper clouds they fall
Or snowflakes larger than the hand
They swirl, they dance, they swoop, they soar
And glide to rest upon the land
Commuters on their hurried trip
Look up in wonder at the sight.
“How nature’s ways confound us all -
Why look! It’s raining diaper wipes!”
Little fingers clasp with glee
Another wipe, and yet one more.
Oh what a game! What bounteous joy
To throw things from the 18th floor!
For freedom, wipes! Run! Fly!
No better future hast thou here!
But oh! An end to such delight -
I hear my mother drawing near!
Like little paper clouds they drift
Aloe’d rashguard snowflakes soar;
But baby’s fun is over now
It’s time-out on the 18th floor.
Brilliant! Love it! There's got to be some contest you can enter to make money on that bit of storytelling and rhyme.
