I wrote a whole long homeschooling journal post earlier today. I don't know where it went. I hate that.
We're being very productive while we are apartment-bound. Yes, we did buy a stroller, but a combination of wind chill and kids with colds are conspiring to keep us inside.
Today Aidan did HWT and read a full page of short sentences in Phonics Pathways. He loves it. What a difference there has been between teaching him to read and teaching Connor. I waited longer with Aidan. The difference is amazing. He also began number bonds in math. For those who are not familiar with Singapore Math, number bonds are their way of teaching that numbers can be broken down into smaller numbers. For instance, 5 can be broken down into 2 and 3, or 4 and 1, or 5 and 0.
Connor continued with multiplication and division - I really like the way Singapore teaches both operations at the same time. His cursive handwriting is looking just wonderful, far better than his printing. We did grammar (linking verbs), and lots of history: maps and coloring pages from the two previous chapters, plus we read about the People's Crusade, the First Crusade, and finished the book about William Marshal.
And now it's late so more tomorrow.

Just trying to compare. Not that I should compare. But I am. I'm trying to figure out how much writing I should be making S do.
