On her Homeschool Reviews message board, Tammy is advocating the cutting up of books.
It took me just about a full year at college to get to the point where I could underline or highlight in my books. I don't know what it would take to get me to cut them.
Cropping photos ala Creative Memories is hard for me too.

I must be like so utilitarian.
Cutting up two books (at $20) makes so much more sense to me that paying $60+ for colored timeline figs that I can buy in a catalog.
Of course, there were no timeline figures available when we started cutting up books around the mid-90s.
Oh, it is very utilitarian! And I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm just wondering if I could *do* it. I sure don't think I'd plop down money on pre-made timeline figures either.
I'm willing to try, I just think someone might need to stand by with oxygen while I wrestle past my taboos ;-)
