Joanne Jacobs shares an item about an Iowa school that banned talking during lunchtime.
Can't talk in class ("You are not here to socialize!"). Can't talk at lunch. I guess that leaves the hall (for kids old enough to change classes) and those short recess periods to get all that socialization I'm willfully depriving my kids of. Or, is that more preparation for the real world?
