So tired

Why does this homeschooling thing make me so tired?

We "offically" started our year on Monday, for what that's worth. ("Connor, today is our first day of school." "No it isn't, Mom, I've already done lots of school!") And I am beat.

It has been a very successful, productive two days as far as the homeschooling is concerned, but I'd sure like to find a way to get through these days without feeling stretched to the breaking point by the end.

We have done spelling and math on both days. On Monday we did a lesson on initials in First Language Lessons, and did a chapter in Story of the World. Today we did a history narration, and he copied the first paragraph for copywork; we read more in SOTW and looked at Eyewitness: Book (the lesson is on monks and medieval bookmaking). He colored a drawing of an illuminated letter. He read for 20 minutes out of ... If You Lived in the Days of the Knights, and did some free reading as well (Calvin and Hobbes).

And in between all that, I went to the grocery store and ran errands and gave babies baths and nursed and cooked meals and changed diapers and dealt with librarians on the phone and took care of other people's kids and picked up messes and I am TIRED. Oh, AND Aidan did math with my help, and I taught him his first piano lesson.

Did I mention tired?
